The name CETERA arises from the Latin phrase “et cetera” – from et (and) + cetera (the other). A Contract Research Organization (CRO) is usually an independent party, which is hired to execute clinical trials. CETERA is a Portuguese academic CRO, located in Lisbon, with an unwavering commitment to quality and service flexibility. CETERA team brings essential expertise to support companies and research organizations successfully to solve today’s challenges in clinical research.

Location

Portugal has an excellent geographical location. At the meeting point between three continents – Europe, Africa and America -, it has always been central to the most important international routes. On the other hand, Portuguese is becoming increasingly important. Spoken by about 230 million people, Portuguese is the sixth most widely spoken language in the world. It is the official language of eight countries. Portuguese is spoken all over the world – in Europe (Portugal and Portuguese islands), in Africa (Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cape Verde), in Asia (East Timor, Macau, Goa) and of course in South America (Brazil).

CETERA is a pioneer academic CRO with a scientific advisory department with a medical and scientific team responsible of selecting and supporting principal investigators to warranty their motivation and commitment within the studies that CETERA is involved.
