DCT trials are quickly rising to the top of the most exciting strategies for improving clinical research prospects and health outcomes on a global scale. Depending on the clinical trial, the patient population, and the available resources, DCTs range from entirely decentralized (site-less) to hybrid models that incorporate traditional and decentralized methods.
A decentralized strategy reduces patient and site burden by reducing dependency on site visits. However, patients still require regular engagement with sites, as some may not feel comfortable with technology, prefer to see doctors in person, or are unsure of how to self-perform study procedures. Plenty of challenges arise as countries may not be ready for this new trial design as regulatory legislation is strict.
Considering that, we offer to:
- Support on site identification and selection;
- Analyze and anticipate the challenges in the implementation of a DCT protocol at each research center;
- Implement and monitor the DCT, accompanying research centers/study teams;
- Recommend and implement readjustments.
