Cardiovascular Research 2023 – Best Scientific Article Award

The 1st place of the 7th Edition of the AIDFM-CETERA Prize was awarded to João Sérgio Neves. The 2nd place to Rafael Graça and 3rd place to João Abecasis. The AIDFM-CETERA award organizing team presents its warmest congratulations to the winners!

The AIDFM-CETERA award session took place on 24th February 2024, at 12:20 pm, during the XIV New Frontiers Congress in Cardiovascular Medicine.

Rafael José Ferreira Nunes Graça, PhD (GenoMed® – Diagnósticos de Medicina Molecular SA) com o artigo “High‐Throughput Microscopy Characterization of Rare LDLR Variants” publicado na revista JACC: Basic to Translational Science.

The winner will be announced at the AIDFM-CETERA session of the XIV New Frontiers Congress in Cardiovascular Medicine on 24th February 2024.

 

The 7th Edition of the AIDFM-CETERA Award for the best scientific article of the year in the cardiovascular field is open for application. For the application, only scientific articles published during the year of 2023 in indexed journals will be considered eligible.

The submitted scientific articles will be evaluated according to their originality and clinical relevance, as well as the impact factor of the scientific journal where the article was published, among other factors. Candidates will be evaluated by an independent jury highly qualified in the field.

Relevant deadlines:

  • Applications will run from 24th  November 2023 to 2nd January 2024
  • The 3 selected articles will be announced on 18th January 2024
  • The winner will be announced at XIV Congresso de Novas Fronteiras em Medicina Cardiovascular 2024 which will be held from 23rd to 25th February 2024.


Award:
The authors for the top 3 articles will get a €3,000.00 prize, which will be distributed as follows:

  • Best article author: €1750.00;
  • 2nd best article author: €750.00;
  • 3rd best article author: €500.00.

These amounts may be used for 1 year after its allocation, for the following purposes:

  • Expenses with registration for scientific meetings (conferences or courses);
  • Purchase of technical/scientific books;
  • Expenses with reagents or another laboratory material.

The top 3 selected articles will also get:

  • Diploma “Best Research Paper Award – 2023”;
  • Registration to the XIV Congresso de Novas Fronteiras em Medicina Cardiovascular 2024 (registration fee and accommodation, if applicable)
  • Invitation to present the selected article in the “Prémio CETERA” session that will be held at the XIV Congresso de Novas Fronteiras em Medicina Cardiovascular 2024.
